Simon

Simon is the founder of ShapeQ. He founded the company back in 2020 with the aim to invest into the most innovative companies across Europe. Providing them with the necessary resources to grow their business in order to create shareholder value and to achieve well above average returns in the long run – always with a positive impact for society in mind. Simon’s studies saw him graduating with master’s degrees from universities in the U.S., Sweden and Germany in the fields of sustainable engineering, finance and business administration.

Johannes

Johannes joined Simon and ShapeQ in 2022 being thrilled by the idea of investing patient capital with an entrepreneurial approach, picking the emerging winners of tomorrow while helping them to achieve their ambitions. Before taking over the lead at ShapeQ, he was the AAA Citywire rated co-manager of a European small and mid-cap equities fund. In his seven years at the forefront of the investment fund, he led several investments into transformational business cases with great success and developed an extensive network among business leaders in Europe. Johannes holds a master’s degree in International Finance.

Matthias

Matthias, being enthusiastic about the vision to support the best scale ups across Europe with a long-term view, followed Johannes in joining ShapeQ. Both share a common past working for the same investment fund. Matthias held junior and senior roles in the analysis team. While working together, Johannes and Matthias have established a trustful relationship and a common view on how to invest in the best way for the long term while minimizing risks. Matthias’ analytical skills and passion for details make him an undeniable part for the success of the team. He has a strong educational background, holding an MBA and being a CFA charter holder.
